The artists

We are three artists behind Hysteria Collective, an installation that questions the feminine, denounces injustice and breaks taboos.

The crowd of wombs we create is multifaceted: some pieces explicitly denounce violence and inequality, others simply reflect our pleasure in creating and exploring the materials we master.

All take part in a lively, engaged installation that makes women's experiences visible and invites other artists to join this collective approach.

Solen Cap

Artiste plasticienne

Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, Solen's practice blends engraving, painting and sculpture. Her work is rooted in the social and environmental realities of Guadeloupe, where she has lived since 2007.

Her approach questions the female condition, struggles for equality and the fragility of fundamental rights. Each of her creations reflects on the place of women in society.

She often uses recycled advertising posters as a means of expression.

In Hystérie Collective, she created the concept and is responsible for its artistic and scenographic direction, bringing a frontal viewpoint that questions violence and taboos.

Marie-Lise Dabriou

Artiste éco-recycleuse, créatrice upcycling

Autodidact, Marie-Lise transforms discarded materials (inner tubes, plastics, cans...) into alternative leather goods and jewelry.

Her approach is based on upcycling: restoring value to discarded materials and inventing new forms from scraps.

In Hystérie Collective, she brings a concrete and inventive sensibility. Her uteruses, composed of recycled fragments and hybrid materials, give substance to the women's experiences and reinforce the project's engaged dimension.

Nathalie Joris

The installation grows with each new piece. These collaborating artists have chosen to cast their gaze upon it... and a uterus.
