L'Ambivalence
L'Ambivalence builds on Collective Hysteria within the universe of Nèg An Pòslèn by the artist Pock. The uterus is not depicted as a biological organ, but as a symbolic space: one of transmission, origin, and creative power.
A face emerges from each ovary. One is serene, marked by scars like traces of survival, reconstruction, and resilience. The other is consumed by anger, the energy of refusal: a refusal of erasure and injustice. These two faces are not opposed; they coexist.
The crackled porcelain, repaired in the style of kintsugi, reminds us that fragility can become strength, that a crack can become light. The female body as a living archive: gentleness and rage, wound and healing, ambivalence as an embraced condition of womanhood.
